Should I or My Child See a Psychiatrist?

Mental health issues arise at any stage of life and can vary from mildly disruptive to debilitating. For our pediatric population, concern for problems in development, progression in school and relationships with peers and family are common reasons to see a psychiatrist. The early years are important in preparing your child for personal success but is also a time when psychiatric illnesses start to show early signs. A psychiatrist can perform a full diagnostic evaluation and provide recommendations, often combining medications with therapy. At Ocean Bay Psychiatry, our physicians incorporate evidence-based alternative approaches when indicated.

Fee and Insurance Policy

Our physicians are dedicated to providing you and your family with the individualized care they deserve. In order for us to better devote our time and resources in working collaboratively with you and your other health care providers, we maintain a fee-for-service structure. This means we do not participate with insurance.

Payment is expected at the time of service. We provide a detailed receipt, called a “superbill” which can be submitted to your insurance company as an out-of-network provider. Please consult with your insurance company for any questions prior to your visit.

Please contact our office for current fees and availability.
